Nestled in the picturesque city of Oxford, a delightful couple on the cusp of retirement approached us with a vision. Their cherished residence, graced with an expansive and accessible rear garden, held the potential to transform their golden years by dividing the garden and building a contemporary bungalow.

The couple’s previous endeavor with a local architect resulted in an avant-garde bungalow design. However, its groundbreaking feature, a slender glass ribbon crowning the walls to create an illusion of a levitating roof at dusk, posed a financial challenge due to the extensive steel framework it required.

Undeterred, our team embraced the challenge. With the homeowners’ enthusiastic approval, we embarked on a creative journey of redesigning and smart engineering. The solution was a masterstroke of illumination. Strategically placed high-end lighting beneath the eaves produced the coveted ‘floating’ effect, all without breaking the bank.
